The Leopard quintet flashed a "consistent passing game in downing down-ing the Bulldog aggregation. Both teams displayed plenty of speed but were somewhat lacking in the guarding department. The Lehi Wolverines Avenged the defeat they sustained from the Wasatch high three weeks ago, in, a fast game played at Heber "-iday night. The score was 30 to 21. The absence of Captain Nichols of Wasatch handicapped the Mountaineers Moun-taineers to a certain extent but the Lehi aggregation played briliiant ball the full distance of the game. 'The score: . . He chalked up 41 points in four games to capture high honors. War-nick War-nick of Manavu ward placed second sec-ond in the stake, with 36 points gai nered in three games. Wayne Overly of the Sixth ward is next in line, and leads all centers, cen-ters, with 32 points in four games. Two" forwards Mangum of Fifth weed and Menzies of Third are next in line, with 31 counters apiece. Mangum made his total in three games, while Menzieg took four. Vern Scott, Fifth ward center, is second among the pi voters with the excellent record of 29 points in three games. E. C. five took the lead at the start which they maintained for about the first 10 minutes of the game. (Special) Butler university defeated de-feated the barnstorming .B. Y. U. Cougars Friday night. 45 to 34, in a thrilling game. Y" Always Threatens - Although Butler led throughout the game, the Cougars threatened at all times, and forced the Hoos-iers Hoos-iers to abandon their usual delayed offensive tactics for a fast passing and shooting game. Two minutes before the close, B, Y. U. staged a rally that brought the score to 32-36, but Withrow and Chadd then led a Butler offensive that sewed up the game. A different type of officiating bothered the Cougars. Captain Ruio' Magleby was ousted on fouls at the half, with the score 29-22 lor Butler. B. Y. U.'s passing was good, but the Cougars were extremely wild, in their attempts to locate the hoop, appearing somewhat travel-weary, i Eldon "Eel" Brinley, veteran forward, played a sensational game, and score l5 points for high honora of the entire game.
