Mrs. Carol Holt was cHairman on arrangements, and the unit colors, orchid and gold, were used t& decorate. Heather and acacia, together wtih orchid candles and a pold Viking ship and Val . Norn castle were employed. Miss Eunice Bird was toastmist-ress. toastmist-ress. and in introducing the pledges, the memberrread lines of, verse and presented the girls with dainty corsages. Music was furnished furn-ished by the Val Norn:girls with dainty corsages. Also, the unit's instrumental trio, composed com-posed of Lucjle Dyreng.' Dearwyn Sundwall and Katherine Morrell. Lucile, Adams sang nd speeches were made by the alu,mnae and ' active presidents, Mrs. Phyllis Van Wagenertand Miss Donna Smuin, respectively. GALOSHES A Chinese New Year's party was featured by the Alice. Louise Reynolds club. Chapter No. 1, the members entertaining the husbands hus-bands at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Earl Saturday evening. Attractive Chinese lanterns and banners added to the setting for the . tasty chow mein and rise dinner, din-ner, served with all the accompanying accom-panying sweets which go to make a real old Chinese meal. Mrs- Orea B. Tanner as master of leer, presented, and toasts were given by Antone Romney, who appeared as General Chalng Ki-Shek, George Ballif, as Yu-Peiping Yu-Peiping To, and George H. Hansen, Han-sen, as Mie-Lan-Fang. . The guests were attired in colorful color-ful Chinese costumes and many ate dinner with chop - sticks, in typical oriental fashion. A dragon dance was formed with Chalng Ki-Shek Ki-Shek as leader, and the remainder of the evening was spent playing Chinese checkers, as the guests were seated on large floor pillows. Each guest was presented with a "white elephant" gift, and later, tea and rice-cakes, with fortunes, were served. Hostesses on this delightful and novel occasion were: Mrs. Harold Walton, Mrs. Jesse Weight, Mrs. Orea B. Tanner, Mrs. Frank Earl, Mrs. Zenos Porter and Mrs. George H. Hansen, who attended with their partners. Also present were the following members and partners: Messrs and' -Mesdames Claude Ashworth, Georges Ballif. Percival Bigelow, Victor Bird, P. A. Mr. Ab-ner Ab-ner Baird is vice chairman; L. C. Carlisle, secretary; James Garner, member: Several ladies will be selected se-lected to work on the committee. Plans for the organization were made at a meeting of the local Farm Bureau in connection with the Planning Board of the county held Saturday afternoon at the Junior high school. Mr. Le Grande Jarman, secretary of the county farm Bureau, Bessie Kirkham, home demonstration agent and Lee R. Taylor and Mabel Stewart of the county planning board were present to discuss the various problems. Nebo Teachers Meet at Payson PAYSON A talk by Principal N. Thornton of Provo on the teachera retirement plan, featured a special Nebo school' district teachers institute in-stitute in Payson Saturday afternoon. after-noon. Superintendent Owen L.
