By Clyde Lewis Obituaries Tributes Paid To Isabelle Berry Funeral services for Mrs. Isabelle Isa-belle Harris Berry were held in the Fourth ward chapel Friday afternoon. Bishop R. L. Murdock wag in charge of the largely attended services. There was a profusion of beautiful floral offerings. A trio, comprising Mrs. Allie W. Clark, Mrs. Evelyn Mc Affee and Mrs. La von fa Jensen (sang "Prayer Perfect," after which prayer was offered by Prof. Ed. M. Rowe. Mrs. Sarah Ramsey sang "Face to Face," accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Jensen. Tributes to the exemplary life and character of Mrs. Berry were paid by the speakers. President F. S. Harris, Stayner Richards, President T. N. Taylor and Bishop Murdock. A violin solo was played by Prof. LeRoy J. Robertson, wirh Miss Dearwyn Sardoni at the piano, and Mrs. Elva C. Olpin of Charlotte, North Carolina, sang "O My Father." She was accompanied accom-panied by Dean Gerrit de- Jong, Jr. A. L. Booth closed with prayer pray-er and the grave at the Provo City Burial park was dedicated by Joseph G. Nelson. SPANISH FORK MRS. EFFIE DART The Third ward choir and their partners held a' party following the regular choir practice Tuesday Tues-day night at the Third ward amusement hall. There were 60 present, and interesting program was given with LaVere Anderson, president in dharge. A variety of games were played under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Grace Beck. An interesting feature of the program was a talk of appreciation from Mr. Ott, of Miami, Florado, who is visting with the Searles family. Mr. Ott was baptized and married by Elder Lynn Searles While on his mission to the southern 'states. Dancing was enjoyed en-joyed and "refreshments served by a committee to the members and guests. U. student, will return home with her mother Wednesday Alice and Donetta Miller and Howard MacKay spent Sunday- with Mrs. Heber C. Miller who is ill in the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake. GRAND VIEW AIRS. CLARK CARTER Reporter The annual Sunday school outing out-ing was held Sunday at Aspen Grove. A musical program un der the direction of the ward officers was given as follows: Welcome remarks by Dean Nut-tall, Nut-tall, superintendent; short talk by Helen Wentz; song, congregation; song, "Jesus Wants Me for Sim-, beam," by kindergarten; song, "Little Purple Pansies," by Primary .class; "Our Mountain Homes So Dear," by congregation; "In Our Lovely Deseret," church history class, "Dear to the Heart of the Shepherd," New Testament class, "Oh Ye ' Mountains High," congregation; "Oh, How Lovely Was the Morning," Book 'of Mormon class; "For the Strength of the Hills," Parents class and "Sing We Now at Parting," by congregation. A short history of each song was given by either a clas sleader or member before each song was sung. Following the program, lunch was enjoyed by everyone and the afternoon was spent in playing games and visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Clark of Cedar City visited Saturday after-noo after-noo at the home of Mrs. Ada Carter. Car-ter. They, came to attend the Elks convention in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Kartchner left Sunday for their home in May-bell, May-bell, Colorado. After having spent the past week visiting at the hpme of Mr. Kartchners parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Kartchner. Kartch-ner. sisted in making the poppy sale a success. More than 800 poppies were sold, the remainder of the 1000 were used to decorate the graves of Veterans, this work was done Memorial day by the members mem-bers of the auxiliary.
