Mrs. Edna Taylor, vha were chosen to represent the strike at general conference in Salt Lake City, are happy to have had the privilege of joining: with the 900 Singing Mothers from the various sections of the country. They report that they feel well repaid for their efforts, both in long hours of practice and participation partici-pation in the chorus work at conference sessions. EFFIE DART The ladies of the Firemen's aux- iliary gave a party for their huf-bands huf-bands at the Firemen's hall Friday Fri-day evening. The tables forming the letter "E" were decorated with Easter rabbits and Easter favors. A delicious hot supper w4s served at 8:30. During the supper, sup-per, Mrs. Ruth Brockbank, president presi-dent of the auxiliary, was toast-mistress toast-mistress and short toasts arid talks were given by most of those present. Following supper, garris were played under the direction of Mrs. Maggie Crump, progressive progres-sive 500 followed the miscellaneous miscellane-ous games, Mrs. Belle Thomas arid James Measom winning the high score prizes and Mrs. Mable Woods and Charles Miller the consolation consola-tion prizes. Mrs. Sophia Thurgood was hostess host-ess to the Junior Bridge club and three special guests Friday night." The Easter motif was carried out in the decorations and in the luncheon which was served at the; card tables at 8:30. Three tables of bridge followed lunch, MffiL Alta Durfee won high score prie for the club, and Miss Bernie Bearnson, the guest prize. Other guests were Miss Fay Bearnson and Miss Gladys Gardner. Mrs. Jane Evans was hostess to the Bienvenue club Friday evening. eve-ning. Luncheon was served at the card tables at 8:30. Bridge followed, fol-lowed, Mrs. Elsie Knotts winning high score prize for the club; Mrs. Lucile Grotegut, for the guests, and Mrs. Lois Gourley the consolation prize. Guests present pres-ent were Mrs. Lois Gourley, Springville; Mrs. Nora Larsen, Leland, and Mrs. Lucile Grotegut, Grote-gut, Spanish Fork. t Mrs. Isaac Briggs is visiting with her daughter in Nevada, for a while. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dart and family fam-ily spent Sunday at Spring Lake with Mrs. Lydia Moore and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Thomas delightfully entertained the members mem-bers of the Double X club and the following special guests Wednesday Wednes-day evening of last week: Mr. and Mrs. Owen Rowe. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. West and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hammon. A delicious delici-ous turkey dinner was served at the card tables centered with ' daffodils. Following dinner, five tables of progressive 500 were prayed, Mr." and Mrs. Jesse Ludlow Lud-low winning the high score prizes for the club and Mrs. Will West j and Russell Hammon, for the guests. Consolation prizes were won by Mrs. Willis Brockbank and H. B. Robertson. Mrs. Henry Child entertained very delightfully at a dancing par ty Friday evening in honor of hri son, Glade. INC "What have they been out again?" was gaily decorated in carnival effect with balloons and confetti. Dancing was the main diversion of the twenty young people present. pres-ent. At 11 o'clock a buffet supper was served, the hostess be-ng assisted as-sisted by her neice, Miss Colleen Cahoon. Miss Maxine Child, who is a student at the U. A. C, at Logan, Lo-gan, has returned to her studies after spending a week's vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Child. One of the delightful events of the past week was a dinner party given by Mrs. Irvin Jensen in honor of her birthday, Thursday afternoon. Dinner was served at a long table spread with a lovely lace cloth and centered with an attractive birthday cake. Yellow tapers in green holders, ljghted the table and placecards decorated with Easter chicks were used. Covers were laid for the following guests: Mrs. Lillian Money, Mrs. Leora Larsen, Mrs. Madge Nielsen, Niel-sen, Mrs. Ardell Creer, Mrs. Ann Siler, Mrs. Mary Gardner, Mrs. Rua Swenson, Mrs. Verda Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, Mrs. Alta Booke, Mrs. George E. Larsen, Mrs. Maud Ludlow, Lud-low, Mrs. Edna Gerber, Mrs. Ida Roach, Mrs. Blanche Gardner, Mrs. Minn Bradford and Miss Viola Jones, the latter assisted the hostess. Earlier in the day he contractors contrac-tors together with Reclamation bureau and chamber of commerce officials visited the Utah Copper company mine at Bingham, inspecting in-specting the electric steam shovels shov-els and other equipment.
