Mrs. Chestina B. Larsen, chairman chair-man of the section, announces that members of all women's civic and literary clubs of Provo have been extended a special invitation, invita-tion, an dthat the committee will also be happy to welcome anyone interested. Em Anon Girls Hold Election The Misses Beth Knudsen. Edith Peterson and Glenna Woods acted as hostesses to members of the Em Anon social unit Tuesday Tues-day evening at the home of the latter. Plans were made for a week end canyon trip and new officers were elected for the coming year, as follows: Glenna Woods, president; presi-dent; Beth Soffe, vice president; Mary Crosbie, secretary and Adele Towers, reporter and historian. ; -- Dessert-Bridge At Masonic Temple Valley Chapter No. 3, O. The place cards were in keeping witli the spring motif. A profusion of spring flowers were used in decorating decor-ating the breakfast room. Corsages of yellow and, bronze snap dragons tied with gold ribbon rib-bon were presented to the honored hon-ored guests. An address of welcome was made by Mrs. Hattie Larsen, president presi-dent of the Central P.-T. A. and responses were made by Mrs. Edith Fuller. Supt. H. A. Dixon and Mrs. Jane Larsen. One hundred and eighty guests called at the Harris residence on University hill between the hours of 4 and 7 o'clock, and were received re-ceived at the door by Mrs. S. Christensen and Mrs. A. N. Leonard Leon-ard of Salt Lake City, sisters of the hostess. The receiving line consisted of Mrs. Harris, Miss Harris, Mrs. David Jenson of Og-den, Og-den, mother of Ralph Jenson, groom-to-be; his sister, Mrs. Del-ton Del-ton Bramwell of Salt Lake City, Miss Mabel Bost. Miss Afton Hanson Han-son and Miss Phyllis Dixon. Lovely string music was played by the Misses Florence Todd, piano; Beulah Hinckley and Lota Paxman, cello, and Helen Johnson, John-son, violin. Mrs. Roscoe A. Grov-er Grov-er of New York City, and Miss Leah Harris, sisters of Helen, and Miss Beth Paxman, assisted in entertaining. Another sister. Miss Leah Harris, Har-ris, and Miss Mary Taylor presided presid-ed in the three large rooms in which the elaborate trousseau was shown. The dining room was in charge of Mrs. Alonzo Morley and Mrs. LeRoy J. Robertson, Val Norn social unit advisors, and the Val Norn girls attended to the pouring pour-ing and serving. A handsome Italian cvutwork cloth covered the table, which was centered with a silver bowl of columbines and sweet rocket. The Val Norn colors, gold and purple, predominated predomin-ated in the decorative scheme. During the afternoon, three delightful de-lightful costume dances were furnished by students of the physical physi-cal education department of the B. Y. U. These consisted of a Mexican folk dance, Venetian waltz and Mexican hat dance. -I, -V - Original Program At Relief Society One of the most outstanding meetings of the year of the Second ward Relief Society was held Tuesday afternoon in the ward hall, when a program of original compositions was presented. The literary section was in charge, and the high class and delightful de-lightful program consisted of the following numbers: Mrs. Alene C. Simmons sang her composition. "Out Where the West Begins, ' after which Mrs Merle Madsen read a poem com posed by her mother, Mrs. Emily Coleman of Midway Mrs. Bernice Dastrup followed with the vocal ; solo. "Memory Lane." written by Mrs. Celia Van Cott. She was ac- ( companied by Mrs. lone Heaton. i A pianologue written by Mrs. Em- ' ma Jones to her mother, was giv- ' en by Mrs. Jones, with Mrs. Gro-ver Gro-ver Forsyth accompanying. Elsie C. Carroll poems were read by Mrs. Beulah Henrichsen, and Mrs. Merle Madsen read Mrs. I Ida S. Peay's compositions. Those of Mrs. Merle Thayne and Miss Edith Ross were read by Mrs. Mary Dahlquist, and Mrs. Hazel Watts presented one by Mrs. Lynn Wilson. Mrs. Myrtle K. Henrichsen. Henrich-sen. Mrs. Edith Clayton. Mrs Fclinda Huff, and Mr?. Ole E.
