DEC Giving reassurance to a favorable spring' outlook the Administrative Adminis-trative and Research Weekly Index of Business Trend advanced to 76L.5 for the week ended March 7th as compared with 73.5 in the preceding week and 70.2 in the corresponding week in 1935. Behind the advance was a sharp increase in automotive output and a 2 point rise in steel operations. The up-trend in these two important divisions of industry was more than sufficient to offset declines in electric power production and freight movements.
