Newman New-man gave enroilees Romick. Schrankle, Schesventer, Hubbell. and Cooper the choice of paying a fine of ten dollars or spending three days in jail. He was granted an honorable honor-able discharge and left Sunday, October 27. c c c The Black Hills bark beetle has been doing considerable damage to the yellow pine and lodgepole trees up in the northeast section of the Wasatch National forest. If li Water Color Exhibit Up An unasually fine water color exhibit consisting of twelve large, square pictures by Professor Bent F. Larsen, professor of art at Brigham Young university, is being be-ing shown in Room D at the university. uni-versity. The pictures were drawn by Prof. Larsen during and after the summer session at Aspen Grove in Provo canyon, where he taught several courses in art. Fifteen studies were made. Six of the works were on display dis-play at the Utah state capitol during dur-ing the recent state fair. One of these was purchased by the capitol. capi-tol. The American Water Color Society So-ciety in New York, of which Prof. Larsen is a member, purchased two recently. Also two oil studies stud-ies were bought by the Fine Arts club at Grand Junction Colo.
