Maybe some gentle reader will remember opening the door last Friday evening to a wildly excited sophomore, who was inquiring after aft-er anything from an old tire to a safety pin. If so, they already know that the B. Y. tenth grade held a scavenger hunt from 6 to 8. The first prize was a box of candy and the dummy prize, an all-day sucker. Parker Proud of Junior Police DORIS BUNNELU Editor CLINTON WEIST, Associate Editor PARKER SCHOOL The Parker Park-er school has a very fine junior police force. It is composed of Keith Morgan, chief; Allen Ridge, assistant chief, and Phil Aiken, Kent Kendall, Ira Gagon, John Huish and Victor Jolley, members. They keep peace on the school grounds, prevent many minor accidents, ac-cidents, and keep the children from crossing the street in the middle of the block. Last Friday they met with the Provo Safety Council where the local officers impressed them with the importance of their work and told them that they had the right to arrest law violators as well as did any paid officer. They play the "Colors" every morning, we .all stand, at attention atten-tion while the flag is being raised. We are trying to put a few more girls in our bugle corps than we had last year Doris Bunnell. At playtime we play ball. The boys play football and the girls kick ball. Before we got the kickball we could play such games as skip-tag, skip-tag, slaptag and steal-the-sticks. We have play period just before recess bell rings. Then we can do i anything we want.
