NEPHI Utah county day will be observed at the annual Black Hawk encampment to be held at Nephi this month on the second day, Wednesday, August 14. Several Sev-eral Utah county communities have prepared programs to be carried car-ried out that day, although most of the veterans will be in attendance attend-ance all four days. Nepm has spared no effort to make this one of the biggest celebrations cele-brations of the year in this state. The big feature is the appear ance of the Colborn and Soren-son's Soren-son's Square Garden rodeo for three days and also two days of horse racing. This is the same rodeo which performed recently at the Covered Wagon Days celebration cele-bration in Salt Lake City. The first day, Tuesday, Aug. 13, is assembly day featured with a baseball game at 2:30 between Helper and Nephi and a free pageant at 8 p. m. depicting the early settlement of Nephi to be held at the fair grounds. A chorus of 100 voices will sing. The program for the second day, Utah county day will include aparade at 9:30 consisting of 60 floats and 12 bands in the morn-' ing and the rodeo in the afternoon, after-noon, wrestling bouts and dancing danc-ing In the evening. The third day is Governor's and Tintic day featured by a program in tht forenoon and a baseball game between all-star teams from the State Industrial and Central Utah leagues. The fourth day has been proclaimed pro-claimed Southern Utah day. Dick Powell and Joan Blondell In Musical Romance "Broadway Gondolier," Warner Bros.' sensational new musical comedy, which reunites the popu-'nr popu-'nr stars of "Gold Diggers of 1933," Dick Powell and Joan Blondell, will be shown locally at the Crest theater for the first time starting Sunday. A series of mix-ups prevents his appearance and his teacher, a former singer and impoverished Italian aristocrat, sings for him. But his voice has eone sour and the taxi driver loses out. It is not until he gets to Venice that he makes good, first as a singing gondolier, and later in opera.
