Jex whose marriage will take place June 14 m the Salt Lake temple. There were 30 relatives and friends in attendance, bridal wreath and bleeding hearts formed centerpieces center-pieces for the tables and games appropriate to the occasion were enjoyed during the evening. Mrs. Robert Dudley Sr., formerly of Benjamin, who has spent the last three years at Burley, Idaho, is here visiting her daughters at Spanish Fork, Payson and Sunny-side, Sunny-side, she will also visit other relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Roese and children, James and Katherine and Miss Mary Martin of Los Angeles are here for a short visit with the parents of Mrs. Roese, Mr. and Mrs. James Sorenson, Jr. of Palmyra. Pal-myra. The party motored to Salt Lake Monday. Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Thomas who have spent the past month visiting Mr. and Mrs. iTyrum Thomas at St. George and Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Heinriehsen at Las Vegas, returned return-ed home Thursday, their son Hy-rum Hy-rum motoring here to bring them home. While at Las Vegas thev visited the Boulder dam and many I sights of interest in that vicinity. ' Mrs. Effie S. Dart entertained at .dinner Sunday complimentary to Mrs. Mary E. Reese of Castle Gate. Robert Chappie and Mrs. Rose'tta Flavel were additional guests. Mrs. Rosetta Flavel entertained at a quilting Wednesday, the members mem-bers of the Third ward Relief society so-ciety quilting committee being the guests. A mid day dinner was served. Mrs. Robert Jex was hostess at a delightful party Friday afternoon after-noon in honor of the thirteenth 4 birthday anniversary of her daugh ter, Eltheaar. Eleven little friends were present. A variety of merry games were enjoyed and at six o'clock a delicious luncheon was served at a table centered by a pretty birthday cake and candles. Miss Theda Jex and Miss Beth Kreuger assisted the hostess in directing di-recting the games and serving. Miss Alton Cornaby and Mrs. Douglas Ellison entertained at "the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Cornaby Corn-aby in honor of Miss Ethel Cornaby, Corn-aby, a JJune bride. The guests were entertained with a reading by Miss Jane Kvans foJowed fby games. A delicious Juncheon was served to 35 guests. The bride received manj beautiful gifts. The hostesses were assisted in serving by Ruth Cornaby and Mrs. Neil Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Thomas entertained en-tertained at. a canyon party in honor of Miss Ethel Cornaby and Halvor T. Johnson whose approaching ap-proaching marriage is announced. Ostler of Provo was knocked to the pavement by an automobile driven by Monice Waters of Spanish Fork Monday noon. She received a scalp wound and bruises. Miss Ostler, a student at the Brigham Young university, had just started across the street at First East and Fifth North streets when Miss Waters was attempting to make a lei't hand turn, according accord-ing to the report at the police station.
