While this was in progress word carne from Hans Pederson, who lives on the Springville road, that Mr. Jacob-son Jacob-son was in his car dead on the load near Pedersen's residence. Two children who live near where the car was standing all night, Harold Pedersen, 11, and his sister Melba Pedersen, 9, said this morning that they passed the car at 8:30 last night coming from the store, but they thought there were two persons in the car. A more thorough investigation by Dr. C. M. Smith and Dr. J. W. Aird later in the day confirmed the earlier findings that Mr. Ja-cobson Ja-cobson had met death through natural na-tural causes. There vere no evidences evi-dences of external violence or any foul play. His gold watch was in hir, pocket, eliminating any possible possi-ble motive of robbery. Altnough r.rr. One hid in the brush and j the other was doing the driving. Just as the driver got a couple of two-year-olds back to the point of ambush, a single rifle cracked out and then as if by pre-arranged signal a barrage of shots rang out and the driver of ttie deer saved himself only by hiding behind a ledge while the lead spanged on the rocks all around him. One hunter down in the south part of the state has shot his der every year merely mere-ly by waiting up in a tall bare tree until one came along. "Let the other fellow drive them to me," Is his philosophy. 3f And that brings up the story of the Provo man who borrowed government horse to use last year iii hunting in Slate canyon. After-tying After-tying his tiorse to some oak brush the hunter carefully went out in search of a buck. Carefully he threaded his way through the brush for quite a distance until a big animal loomed up, taking quick aim he sent a shot through it. A minute later he discovered tViat he had circled through the country and come back to shoot his own horse. Now this story sounds suspiciously suspici-ously like other stories much li-.e it but a piece of horsehide is exhibited ex-hibited this year as evidence. Or something-or-other. Robert Browning, the poet, could read and write before he was five years old. MEATS AND GROCERIES PHONE 534 4G4 WEST CENTER ST.
