MC FIREMEN MAKE ANNUAL REPORT A total of $9,160 damage resulted from fires in Springville and vicinity vicin-ity in 1931 as compared with a total og $4,137.50 for 12930. . The large increase resulted from two large fires at Mapleton where water was scarce or" unavailable. The damage to city property varied little in the two years, with $3,442.50 in 1930 and 53,765 in 1931. Property endangered by fire to-toled to-toled $53,290 with $40,090 of this amount being in. the city. Of the total of $9,160 damaged property, .insurance covered approximately approx-imately $8,330. Damaged property outside of the city limits totaled $5,395 the past year and $695 in 1930. The. fire department made 19 city runs and eight county in 1931, a total of 27 runs as compared with 25 runs in 1930. Springville Men Attend Church Mission School Evon Averett, con of Mr, and Mrs. George Averett of Springville left Monday morning for the Salt Lake missionary school prior to fill ing an L. ,D. S. mission in the southern states. Edward Hutchings, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hutchings, left the same day to attend the missionary mission-ary school. A, Rockwell, 68, of Spanish Span-ish Fork, suffered three fractured ribs and injuries, to her right leg Sunday afternoon vhen a car driven by her son, Allan Rockhell, collided with another car driven by W. L. Thompson of Aurora. Utah. The accident occurred on North Main street, Springville. Other occupants oc-cupants of the cars were uninjured. unin-jured.
