A spirit of Christmas predominated predom-inated in the decorative scheme which featured an outside winter scene. A huge tree, bedeclced with all sorts of gay-colored ornaments and lights, stood in the rotunda, and small trees, also beautifully trimmed, stood around the reception recep-tion hall. A "night before Christmas" Christ-mas" arrangement was created in the serving room, at cne side of j which was a fireplace with a row of stockings hanging from the j mantle. A tree stood in one corner j and motifs of the Yuletide season j were employed. j Ken Stringham's orchestra iurn j ished the dance music and at in- termission, Mr. Pratt rendered , vocal sols, and a girls trio. com- i posed of the Misses Verni.s Richards, Rich-ards, Pearl Yokestetter and Ruth Dixon sang. U., was held Friday evening at the residence resi-dence of Miss Nadlne Taylor. The affair was also in the form of a Christmas social, and the entertaining rooms were artistically artistic-ally arranged in holiday attire. A large tree held vari-colored lights and bright ornaments, and wreaths and bells were employed throughout the rooms. A delicious 6:30 o'clock luncheon lunch-eon was served at small tables, and individual white birthday cakes, holding one blue candle, proved attractive. Miss Afton Hansen gave the birthday greetings, and also spoke on the organization of the White Keys. Two vocal solos were rendered by Miss Mary Clark, and a duet was sung by Miss Clark and Miss Pearl Callis. Miss Nadine Taylor gave a Christmas Christ-mas reading. Gifts were exchanged during the evening. In attendance were: Miss Wilma Jeppson and Mrs. E. H. Yuletide Affair Tendered Club Mrs. Shirley Bee was hostess to members of the Utopia club at their annual Christmas party, Friday afternoon at her home. The feature of the attractive decorative scheme was a large Christmas tree, gay with vari colored lights and ornaments. Bridge was the diversion, Mrs. Arvid Reese winning the high score prize, and the second favor going to Mrs. Oscar Garrett. A tastefully appointed luncheon was served, during which time Christmas Christ-mas gifts were exchanged. The dining table was covered with a handsome cream satin and linen cover, and held as its centerpiece, center-piece, three red tapers, banked with red carnations and holly. GARDNER President 2000 Attend Palmyra Stake Anniversary Fete SPANISH FORK- With approximately ap-proximately 2000 persons filling the big auditorium of the Spanish Fork high school to standing capacity, cap-acity, the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the organization of Palmyra L. D. S. stake was belc1 Friday and Saturday. A band concert was given by the high school band at 4 p. m., after whicl an hour of handshaking and renewing re-newing of acquaintance was feat ured. From 5:30 o'clock on then was continuous program, each waid of the stake taking part on the program. Two selections were rendered by the high school mixed choru: and two selections by the Lieu-rance Lieu-rance club directed by F. J. Faux.
