The Dividend' outfit outscored Draper 7 to 1 behind the masterful master-ful pitching of George ."Red" Peery, southpaw veteran, who al lowed the Feed and Eggs crew but 10 scattered bingles. Pay son, the last year champion, also came through in the first round, dowing Layton 5 to 4 by putting on a dazzling 3-run rally in the ninth. f wasaicn kju tuiiiuwicu oaiiiiu. from the championship running by defeating the Salts 9 to 3. The Logan Collegians rapped the ball hard to down Beaver 11 to 2. Start In Fourth Neither Dividend nor Draper scored until the fourth when Berge doubles and Zito singled to score one for the Miners. Vandals Destroy Boat Property Anchored a quarter of a, mile off the Proy-ona beach shore of Utah ' lake, the house boat of William "Billy" Wilson, well known Prcvo sportsman, was broken brok-en into several days ago by vandals who destroyed considerable con-siderable property. Mr. Wilson, who has been ill for several weeks, received re-ceived the report of the damage from Hugh Ross, who had been authorized, to move the boat. Flour and other foodstuffs food-stuffs had been strung about the boat, jam was smeared on the walls, the bedding had been trampled and some of it destroyed and other things were damaged considerably. Dixon -Romney Win Finals In Net Tourney Veterans Conquer Weight-Fletcher Weight-Fletcher in Hard-Fought Tilt; Two Deuced Sets. Don Dixon und Ott Romney w,n the senior doubles division of the l'rovo open tennis tournament tourna-ment Friday in a postponed match. They defeated Bert Weight and Charles Fletcher, G-8, 6-4, 8-C. The match was interesting throughout and tne winners were forced to pull out of some dangerous danger-ous holes in the final canto when Fletcher's smashing drives and Weight's cutstanding net play put the Romney-Dixon duo in a tight spot. Rcmney's steady play and his ability to come through in the pinches, and the sizzling forehand fore-hand smashes of Dixon turned the tide in their favor, however. It was one of the hardest fought matches of the entire tourney and brought out some of the best tenuis. ten-uis. It was postponed when Dixon entered the Idaho State tournament tourna-ment during the concluding lounds of the meet. Lehi, Provo Tilt Cancelled The scheduled game between Lehi and the Provo Bees, Sunday Sun-day in the Timpanogos park, was cancelled Saturday when officials of the Bee club discovered dis-covered that a quantity of sewer pipe had been rolled onto the diamond. There will be no more league games in the Timpanogos league for the Provo outfit. PLAY LEAGUE GAME Leven's and the Post Office will play a regular Commercial league game Sunday morning starting at 7:30 o'clock at the Farrer school grounds. LEHI American Fork and Lehi will clash Monday at 3 p. m. in American Fork for the championship champion-ship of the second half of the Timpanogos league. American Fork won the first half and may clinch the league title in the same contest. Lehi made the second half playoff play-off aeries one game each Friday by downing the Forkers 2 to 1 in a diamond classic. Knowledge that the odds are 20,000 to one against their sinking one from the tee did not seem to daunt a large number of golfers who took their five swings Saturday. In case none of the hopefuls sink a tee shot, the one closest to the hole wins. Most of the golfers golf-ers chose a No. 7 iron and the short 15-yard hole at Nibley for their try. Three prizes are offered to the winners. Eureka To Play At Provo Today A - double-header softball game between a picked team from Eureka and Leven's will be played Sunday afternoon, it is announced. The first game is scheduled between Leven's and Eureka at 1 p. m. at the Farrer junior high school grounds. The Bradshaw-Eureka game is slated at 3 o'clock. PLEADS NOT GUILTY Wayne Grant, charged with assault as-sault with attempt to commit rape and Andrew Neilson, accused of false imprisonment, pleaded not guilty to the charges when arraigned before Judge Abe W.
