Larson and children accompanied by Mrs. Caroline 1Scorup of Provo, were week end visitors at Salma. They were guests at the wedding reception of; their nephew James M. Scorup. Bob Johnson of Provo has purchased pur-chased the former home of Mrs. Israel Barrett and is remodeling it prior to moving in. Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Mecham I and Mrs. Delia Mecham visited ! I with relatives in Wallsburg Friday. R. M. Tibetts of Hastings, spent Friday visiting with J. B. .Sumner and family. In the morn ing-Mr. Sumner accompanied Mr. Tibetts to Elberta where he had business to attend. The home of Mr. and Mrs. James Loveless was the scene of a charming charm-ing social , event Wednesday evening eve-ning when theTelatiyes of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Stubbs entertained at a shower in their honor. WINDSOR WARD Mr. and Mrs. Russell Keetch of Heber visited with Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Keetch Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Whitley went to Spanish Fork Wednesday where Mr. Whitley's team competed com-peted in the pulling contest at the livestock show. Mr. and Mrs. Rav Gillman also attended the pulling contest. Senator Huey Long was cussed at a senate hearing and wanted that to go into the record. Then he could send it to his constitu ents as complimentary. H. Johnson of Lehi. That information was learned learn-ed today from Dr. H. G. Merrill, Mer-rill, PrOvo eye-specialist, who treated the youth after a shot from the boy's own .22 caliber rifle had entered his left eye. Irvin was injured when he' shot at a lizard and the bullet glanced back, striking him in the eye. Dr. Merrill said .that eye specialists use magnets in pulling metalic, objects from injured eyes. The lead slug, of course, "does not react t ne magnet and the wound cannot can-not be probed otherwise or the eyeball would be lost. The boy will be able to see a little with the injured member, mem-ber, Dr. Merrill stdted. Th2 bullet entered squarely into the eye, carrying away some of the brown part. Judge Turner disposed of the desertion case which originally came up in the city court about a month ago, this week, when he sentenced Malcolm Hansen, and Vivian Seamons of Goshen to 18 months' in the state prison. He suspended the sentence of each, however, on condition that they take care of their children and report to the court any proposed change in residence.
