Y., Mar. 9 (U.R) Opposition to the proposed child labor amendment on the ground it would grant congress unlimited powers to dictate the activities and education of children was made today by William S. Andrews An-drews former judge of the court of appeals, in a statement in Syracuse Syra-cuse Post-Standard. The jurist pointed out that the provisions of the proposed amendment amend-ment might allow the appointment of "inspectors x x x to search our homes lest the rules of the bureau l children's bureau) be broken." "Still worse, a girl working at home; a boy helping his father on the farm, all this might be prohibited," pro-hibited," he added, pointing out that the supreme court has ruled that the term 'labor' is not to be restricted to a single definition but must embrace "all toil, mental as well as physical." Mr. Anderson's taik was one of the series of vocational discussions dis-cussions given under direction of the Provo Kiwanis club. Mr. Anderson pointed out the difference between the administration administra-tion just past and the present one, stating that where the past administration ad-ministration adopted the attitude of allowing the depression to cure itself, the Roosevelt administration administra-tion has taken an active part to work a way out. T. W. Dyches, instructor of the civics classes, introduced Mr. Anderson.
