"Nine vears ago, at the first Strut Your Mutt, one participant came," said Ann Elder welcoming welcom-ing dog handlers and audience members. "Today, we have 59 dogs entered into the show." Judges Jennifer and Rebecca of the Dazzle Dogzz Performance Group had their hands full with that many dogs to evaluate. In all, there were 13 categories, including includ-ing appearance, kindred-ness, poise, obedience, and athletic agility. Of course, there were also dog-specific categories like ' wag-giest wag-giest tail' and 'kiss'inest dog' dog classes to judge as well. One audience member was overheard to say about companion com-panion animals, "they kiss, they croon and they keep us safe - what more could anyone ask for?" Winners awarded in classes, of competition are as follows: : , In Kindred Spirits, Jalapeno "i (a Chihuahua), shown by Daisy Mae Goff won along with Bella (another Chihuahua), who won in the Odd Couple Contest, shown by Tyler Whitlock. Micromutt award went to Cash, entered by Araceli La-brum, La-brum, while the Megamutt was awarded to Cedar, shown by Ann Elder. The Prettiest Pooch and Handsomest Hound went to Dally, shown by Ashleah Murray Mur-ray and Rocky, shown by Nellie Eaton, respectively. Winner in the "most unusual heritage" (Who's Your Daddy?) class was Scout, shown by Araceli Labrum. Vocal duet winners for the GRRRammies, includes a first place finish for Bob Barker and Breezy accompanied on the harmonica har-monica by Joe Hobbs. The Tail Will Tell, or the wig-gliest wig-gliest rear end, tail optional, was won by Sassy, shown by Charity Reynolds. While the Smoochin-est Smoochin-est Pooch was won by Ruby, shown by Araceli Labrum. For the first time that show-organizers' show-organizers' could remember, there were almost as many mixed-breed dogs competing for "best in showudge's choice - mixed breed,"as there were pure-bred dogs competing for "best in showjudge's choice -pure pred". Judge's choice was awarded to Dally pure bred, shown by Ashleah Murray and Mixed Breed was awarded to Keelah, shown by Delia Arthur of Roosevelt. Prizes were presented "enthusiastically" "enthu-siastically" to the winning dogs' handlers by Lilly - Little Miss Uintah County; Corrin - Little Miss Uintah CountyOutstanding CountyOutstand-ing Teen; and McKenzie, 1st Attendant, At-tendant, Miss Uintah County.
