Deanna Schroeder Schroeder graduates Deanna Schroeder will graduate gradu-ate with honors from the registered regis-tered nursing program at College of Eastern Utah. The pinning ceremony is May 2 and she will receive her associate of science degree May 3 at CEU's commencement com-mencement ceremony. Michelle Allen, who received her bachelor's degree in special education and rehabilitation, gives one of two graduate addressed during Utah State University-Uintah Basin's commencement exercises exer-cises in Roosevelt on Saturday. More than 1 30 students graduated from USU-UB this year. Deanna graduated from Uintah Uin-tah High School in 2006. She had completed 27 hours of concurrent enrollment college course work at UHS with a 4.0 GPA prior to enrollment at CEU. Deanna was awarded a two-year two-year academic honors scholarship scholar-ship from CEU, a Sam Walton Community Scholarship, a two year Ronald McDonald House Charities National Scholarship and a UHS girls' basketball scholarship. Schroeder participated in clinicals not only at Castleview Hospital and clinics in Price, but also at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City and Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. During her two years at CEU, Deanna has been active in the LDS Institute and served in the Relief Society presidency in her college ward. She also played intramural in-tramural basketball and learned the art of swing dancing. Deanna was formerly employed em-ployed by the Uintah Care Center and Basin Clinic in Vernal. She looks forward to honing her nursing skills and expanding her knowledge base in the work field. Deanna plans to return to Vernal after graduation and will seek local employment. She is the daughter of Dale and Jan Schroeder of Vernal. s i .. ... r '. V Lindsie Anderton Anderton graduates Lindsie Anderton will graduate gradu-ate from the University of Utah with a master's degree in social work on May 1.' She is the daughter of Danna Duncan and Taggart Anderton and the granddaughter of Sonja and Garth Anderton. She plans on staying in Salt Lake City to work in hospice care. Anderton, a graduate of Uintah Uin-tah High School, was a U'ettes drill team member and still loves dancing. "A fun loving girl" said her Mom, "Lindsie still loves yoga, hiking, traveling and going places." |
