Newfield intends to convert con-vert the FederalNo. 9-5-9-1 8 to an enhanced recovery injection well for enhanced oil recovery operations. No drinking water wells are present within one-quarter one-quarter (14) mile of the Federal No. 9-5-9-18. The approved injection zone is within the Green River Formation, from 3783 feet to the top of the Wasatch Formation at approximately 6064 feet which interval includes the Garden Gulch, Douglas Creek and Basal Carbonate Members. The injectate will be a blend of culinary water from the Johnson Water District reservoir and produced Green River water from oil wells proximate proxi-mate to the Federal No. 9-5-9-18. A Draft Permit or modification modifi-cation has been prepared in ' accordance with provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) as amended (42 USC et seq) and other lawful standards and regulations. regu-lations. The EPA has made a preliminary determination determina-tion that all underground sources of drinking water will be protected. This Permit or modification, once issued, will authorize the construction and operation opera-tion of a new injection well or wells. Operation of the well(s) will be governed by the requirements and conditions specified in the Permit or modification.
