Objections to the Request for Agency Action must be filed with the Secretary of the ' Board at the address listed list-ed below no later than the Uintah School District Proposed Tax Rate Information The tax rate levied by Uintah School District last year was .006307. The proposed levy for the upcoming year is .006014. Last Year, the tax on a $ 1 70, 1 00 residence was $590.05 and the tax last year on a business with the same value was $1,072.82. The proposed new rates will reduce taxes by $27.41 per year on a $170,100 home and $49.84 on a business of the same value. This proposal reduces the tax burden on property in Uintah Uin-tah County from last year's levels, although the reduction is not as much as it would have been without this action. Included in the proposal is an increase to the capital outlay out-lay levy and the transportation levy. The capital outlay levy will assist the school district with rising construction costs. The transportation levy will assist the school district dis-trict with the rising costs associated with student transportation. transpor-tation. Also included in the proposal is a decrease of .000234 in the debt service levy. Due to growth in the county, the district is able to assess a lower rate than originally expected ex-pected to meet our financial obligation for the General Obligation Bonds supported by the public in the November Novem-ber 2005 election. The proposed rate also includes the basic levy and the K-3 reading levy as required by the state legislature to participate partici-pate in public school funding.
