Uintah Riders All Terrain Association travel to Dragon The Uintah . Riders All Terrain Association's ride last month was one of the most amazing and informative informa-tive rides they have been on. It is hard to imagine that the towns of Dragon and Watson were once booming boom-ing towns that supported much of the economy in Northeastern Utah. The remnants rem-nants of this could be easily missed and would appear as nothing much to a casual passerby and would have gone completely unnoticed had it not been for the knowledge knowl-edge of JC Brewer. As they walked along, they became aware of foundation cornerstones, the grave of a boy killed in a fight, and much more. The Gilsonite mine, an open vein and littered lit-tered with shiny black minerals min-erals was a reminder of how hard these people had to work. The cemetery, boulder for a headstone, was a great place to take a minute to talk about the hardships the early settlers faced. As the ride came to an end those that were there felt edified and enriched by the great history that lies in that canyon. After a long day of riding they were a bit tired but glad for the experience. The ride is what they are about. Saturday, August 12, 2006 6:00-9:00 p.m. Kokopelli Park 145 East 100 Nortk Free Gift Wrapping Free Delivery ni x& I .
