A reception recep-tion was held that evening in Henderson, Nev. They will be celebrating their wedding with an open house on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Power House, 435 N. Vernal Ave. Everyone is invited to congratulate the new couple at the open house. The bride is the daughter of Kurt and Karen Zitzmann of Henderson. She studied German at the Las Vegas Academy for three years and ji imnfAww .. . , ; Some of the cast of "Clowns." - ';s'j - ' -r' 1 ' Middle School Connections program presents "Clowns" The Vernal Middle School Connections drama program will be presenting the musical "Clowns" on Feb. 9, 10, and 11 at the Vernal Middle School auditorium. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the performance starts at 7:30. Tickets are $3 each. "Clowns" was written by Craig Cassils and distributed by Claras Music. It is a story about a group of apprentice clowns who are searching the world for the great secret of life so they can become full-time real clowns. Matthew Pierce graduated from Community College High School in 2000. She is working as a massage therapist at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. The groom is the son of Blaine and Jane Pierce of Vernal. He graduated from Uintah High School in 2002. He served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Missouri St. Louis Mission. He is working at Investment Lending in Las Vegas. The couple will make their home in Las Vegas. - ' vmmww- J "When I first announced this play, I had so many students tell me how they hate clowns and clowns are scary," says director Elaine Bernard. "This proves that there is always someone out there that gives you a bad name, even clowns. Well, I am here to tell you that we are not scary clowns, but we are funny, silly, and happy clowns, so don't be afraid to bring your children to see this production. "It has been a delight to produce pro-duce this special musical,' says Bernard. "I am grateful for the opportunity I have to tap into the talent, and energy of these middle schoolers and be able to create musical theatre. She graduated from Uintah High School in 2002 and is currently attending the nursing nurs-ing program at Utah Valley Jordan Simmons and Savannah Birch play when we live in a world of turmoil and strife and trying to find out who we are and who we can become."
