According to Mike Slaugh, service manager for Showalter ford, free family passes are available to members of the 1457th by contacting the Family Assistance Center. Accepting the generous donation by Showalter are Ray Wanty, manager of XRQ, 1457th Family Assistance Center coordinator Marci Young, Showalter sales manager Shane Oaks and Mike Slaugh. The Saturday mud bog is put on by the Hometown Mud Racing Association and features a large class of professional modified cars that race in side-by-side mud pits set up like a drag race. . Participants will ride the Wilkins Bus on Thursday, July 8 to Lagoon Amusement Park in Fannington, and receive a full day pass to the park including includ-ing Lagoon-A Beach. The registration fee for the Lagoon trip is $40. The bus leaves at 7 a.m. and returns approximately 8 p.m. to the Vernal Middle School. Space is limited for this trip and fills quickly. On Thursday. Aug. 12. they will take another Wilkins Bus to Seven Peaks Water Park and spend the day enjoying enjoy-ing adventure water slides and the wave pool. The bus leaves from Vernal Middle School at 8 a.m., and returns at approximately approxi-mately 7 p.m. The registration fee for this trip is $30 per participant. All registration fees include the transportation trans-portation and the pass to the park. The registration deadline is one week before the trip is scheduled or until all spots are filled.
