NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Screening for Hazardous Haz-ardous Air Pollutants To assess the effect of increases in emissions of hazardous air pollutants, the Air Quality Board proposes to add new definitions defi-nitions in R307-1-1 and add new Notice of Intent provisions in R307-1-3.7.3. This proposal supplements supple-ments federal requirements require-ments for hazardous air pollutants found in 40 CFR Parts 61 and 63. First, new or modifying sources of hazardous air pollutants which emit 500 pounds per year or more of any HAP of 2000 pounds per year or more of any combination of HAPs and are not subject to the requirements of 40 CFR Parts 61 and 63 are required to submit HAPs impact information with a notice of intent. The rule sets emissions threshold levels for pollutants and requires computer modeling model-ing of impacts if the computed com-puted emissions are greater than the emission threshold level. For sources whose HAPs emissions are to be regulated at some future date as specified in 40 CFR Parts 61 and 63, the rule requires documentation documenta-tion of HAPs emission impacts be submitted with a notice of intent if the executive secretary makes a written determination that the delay may pose an unacceptable risk to public health.
