Angel was arrested in connection with a Nov. 24 incident. Mike McPheters, FBI agent in charge, reported that Angel is being, charged with entering the Hilltop on Highway 40 and hit an individual seated at the bar. Angel was turned over to the U.S. Magistrate Ray Nash who set bail at $100,000. He was turned over to the U.S. Marshall and transported to Salt Lake City where he is waiting further hearings. Making the arrest were the FBI, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Roosevelt Police. Slama earns technician certificate Clinton Scott, manager of Insight Cablevision presented a certificate of completion to Robert Slama for graduating as an installedtechnician. installedtechni-cian. He finished the course with ai 93 percent overall score. The correspondence course was completed in six weeks, but Slama was given one year to complete. All of Insight's installers are required to complete the course. This was the night of the regular Friday night monthly dinner. All veterans of the last three wars were invited to attend. at-tend. Decorations were mostly in the Christmas theme, including a Christmas tree. A flag of the 48 states, which was the flag of the United States at the time the harbor was attacked, was brought by Steve Henderson and displayed. After dinner, people were asked where they were when they heard that Pearl Harbor has been attacked. Florence Murphy said she was in nurse's training. Some were in theaters the-aters in Salt Lake City and some were at home and they kept the radio ra-dio on the rest of the day to hear the news. Others did not hear about it until the next day. Pictures were taken of the different differ-ent groups of vets serving the three different wars, World War II, Korean and Viet Nam. Carl Moser served in all three wars. Delbert Pallesen, who left before the pic tures were taken, served in World War II and in Korea. The Manila High School and Junior High School choirs entertained enter-tained the senior citizens at the Center last Wednesday afternoon. These were not Christmas songs but instead a potpourri of numbers. The Junior High School sang songs such as, "Under the Sea" while the high school students sang "Wind Beneath My Wings." Their instructor is Joel Walton and he said that the students will be singing different songs during dur-ing a Christmas concert Dec. 12 in the high school gymnasium. Manila High School has planned a number of activities this week because be-cause of homecoming. The girls' basketball team will play St Joseph in Manila on Tuesday. Wednesday the boys will play against Rich at Rich. Friday they will have their homecoming bonfire at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the girls will play against Waterford at Manila at 1:30 p.m. and the boys play St. Joseph at 4:30. The homecoming dance will follow that evening. Two elementary school programs" will be presented in the Daggett School District next week. The Flaming Gorge Elementary School in Dutch John will present its program pro-gram on Monday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. and Manila Elementary on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The M and L Homemakers Club will hold its annual Christmas party on Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Senior Citizen's Center.
