Show 24 Vernal Expren Wednesday, November 27, 1991 Barrel racers hold year-end banquet OcL 9, the Uintah Basin Barrel Racing Association held their Year-end Year-end Awards Banquet This year over $4000 of prizes were awarded to the winners. Winners in the Open Barrels were: Amy Adams-First, Debbie Wilkins-Second, Sheila Wilkins-Third, Wilkins-Third, Melissa Justice-Fourth, Marie Jenkins-Fifth, Dixie Allen-Sixth. Allen-Sixth. Open Barrel Horses are horses hors-es that have been running barrels for more than two years. Winners in the Novice Barrels were: Cindy Young-First, Michelle Shiner-Second, Diana Nelson-Third, Nelson-Third, Tamara Vincent-Fourth, Vicki Bastian-Fiflh, Darlene Abegglen-Sixth. Novice Barrel Horses are horses running their first year. Winners in the Intermediate Barrels were: Kathy Clark-First, Debbie Jensen-Second, Nikki Wilk ins-Third, there was a tie for Fourth and Fifth between Marci Miller and Vicki Wilkins, Tammy Koense-Sixth. Intermediate Barrel Horses are horses running for their second year. Winners in the Senior Barrel were: Brandy Sursa-First, Christy Wilkins-Second Aimi Boren-Third, Clarinda Richens-Fourth, Dalena Christensen-Fifth, Brandy Smuin-Sixth. Smuin-Sixth. The Senior Barrels Division is for girls between the ages of 13 to 18. Winner in the Junior Barrel were: Brandy Wall-First, Cindy Wall-Second, Wall-Second, Kayde Allen-Third, Abby Oaks-Fourth, Stephanie Robb-Fifth, Jeamie Wilkins-Sixth. The Junior Barrels Division is for girls 12 and under. Winners in the Amatuer Barrels were: Marci Miller-First, Mary Ann Parrish-Second, Brandy Sursa-Third, Sursa-Third, Melissa Justice-Fourth, Kathy Clark-Fifth, Billie Famsworth-Sixth. Winner in the Novice Pole Bending were: Cindy Jensen-First, Billie Farnsworth-Second, Cindy Young-Third, Marci Miller-Fourth, Michelle Shiner-Fifth, Kayde Holmes-Sixth. Winners in the Senior Pole Bending were: Brandy Sursa-First, Dalena Christensen-Second, Sheila Wilkins-Third, Yv(pne Parrish-Fourth, Parrish-Fourth, Aimi Boren-j?ifth, Brandy Smuin-Sixth. All Around winners were: Cindy Young-Open Adult, Brandy Sursa-Senior Sursa-Senior and Brandy Wall-Junior. Most Improved winners were: Marci Miller Legatha Cuch, Alana Searlc and Clarinda Richen. Super Horse was won by Ervie owned by Sheila Wilkins. Ervie has won this for the last three years. Election for 1992 officers were held. Amy Adams was elected as president with Michelle Shiner vice-president Marie Jenkins is secretary and Marci Miller is point secretary. Moreen Henderson is in charge of the News Letter and Kathy Clark is the barrel director with MaryAnn Parrish as pole bending director and Vicki Wilkins as goat tying director. He was awarded a saddle and buckle at the finals in Ogden at the Golden Spike Arena Nov. 14-16. Bedell has competed in over 26 rodeos of the circuit covering Utah, Nevada and Idaho. Winning the average for -the rodeo final was Jack Hannum of Ogden.
