I; I J j t i " - '1 I 1 -AT' i f X Steven McConkie and Jennefer Ewell Davide Giese and Bettina Weseman Rhonda Fladeland and Kyle Ruppe Fladeland and Ruppe to marry after Thanksgiving Ewell and McConkie to ived Friday Weseman and Giese plan Salt Lake wedding Rhonda Laurie Fladeland, daughter daugh-ter of Kenny and Sharon Fladeland of Maeser, will become the bride of Kyle Jay Ruppe, son of Jack and Reita Ruppe of Davis on Nov. 23. The wedding will take place at 870 E. 200 N., Roosevelt. A reception will be in the Davis Ward Chapel at 1475 E. 4000 S. on the same evening. The bride is a junior at Uintah High School. The groom is a graduate gradu-ate of Uintah High School and has attended Universal Technical Institute. He is currently working at Big O Tires in Vernal. The couple plan to make their home in Vemal. Don and Bonnie Ewell announce the marriage of their daughter, Jennefer to Steven McConkie, son of Glenn and Dorothy McConkie, and the late DeAnn McConkie all of Vernal. Jennefer and Steven have chosen Friday, Nov. 16 to be married. The wedding will take place in the Jensen Ward Chapel with a recep tion following from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jennefer is a 1990 graduate of Uintah High School and is employed em-ployed with Ashley Valley Medical Center. Steven is a 1989 graduate of Uintah High School and is employed em-ployed by Dave's Chevron. Submitted by the Uintah Poetry Society Bettina Weseman and David Giese have chosen Wednesday, Nov. 21 to be united in marriage. They will be married at the Seven Oaks Reception Center in Salt Lake City. A reception will be at the Weston Plaza in Vernal from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23. David is a senior at the University of Utah, majoring in engineering. Bettina is also a student at the Dinah Spurs host pheasant hunters Saturday, Nov. 10, the Dinah Spurs Riding Club hosted their Pheasant Hunters Ball. Location of the ball was the Sunburst Recreation Center. Live music was courtesy of the Country Gentlemen. . As in years past, the highlight of the evening was measuring the pheasant tail feathers. Prizes donated donat-ed by local merchants were given to Brenda Klicn for her 23-12 inch' feather for first place. The second place feather measured 23-14 inches inch-es long. During the night, items were auctioned auc-tioned off and some unescorted ladies were presented with corsages. University of Utah mooring in physical therapy. Parents of the bride are Ms. Vera Wesemann of Salt Lake City and Mr. Karl-Hcinz Wesemann of Germany. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Herman 'Tex" Giese of Vernal. The couple plan to make Salt Lake City their home. Xi Alpha Xi Members of Xi Alpha Xi chapter met on Monday, Nov. 5, at the home of Thelma Hicks, with Edith Erfling serving as co-hostess. President Barbara Brewer called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. It was decided to offer chances on a Wal-Mart gift certificate for a way and means project pro-ject this year. The club began planning plan-ning for the progressive dinner which will be on Dec. 8. The next social will be a dinner on Nov. 16 at the Weston Plaza for members and their husbands. After the business meeting, Edith Erfling presented a program on origami, the art of folding paper into in-to animal shapes. The next meeting will be on Nov. 19 at Mary Fritz's home.
