Mild PG-13: Very brief profanity, sexual references. 101 minutes. Goodfellas You could sarcastically say that "Goodfellas" (a word not unlike "Godfathers") is the year's best Mafioso musical. But it is the true account of 30 years in a Brooklyn Mafia family riddled with dozens of 50's and 60's record hits; includes superb performances by Ray Liotta ("Field of Dreams"), Robert De Niro ("Midnight Run"), Paul Sorvino C' Angel and Big Joe"), Joe Pesci ("Lethal Weapon 2") and Lorraine Bracco ("Someone to Watch over Me"); award-quality direction di-rection by Martin Scorcese ("Raging Bull," "Color of Money," "Last Temptation of Christ"); lots of humor and entertaining and light moments; absorbing characterizations; characteriza-tions; ncar-X-ratcd violence; and a crime-pays main course, with crime-docsn't-pay dessert Not for everyone, it's "Godfather" with laughs, music, cussing and blood. Very strong R rating: Incessant strong language, graphic and bloody violence. 144 minutes. Narrow Margin This week's Gene Hackman film, "Narrow Margin," is an absolutely first-rate naithitcr, high on Ritchcockian suspense, with violence vio-lence fairly well restrained. L. A. Assistant D. A. Hackman (movie director in "Postcards") helps murder witness Anne Archer (Michael Douglas' wife in "Fatal Attraction") find her way to safely to testify in a murder trial. Most of the picture is set on a train where she and Hackman play cat and mouse with the killers. This remake of the excellent 1950 RKO picture (same title, starred Charles McGraw and Marie Windsor) includes in-cludes nice bits of humorous relief, and a great supporting cast Uuit includes in-cludes J, T.
