Now, the role of the physician is changing toward that of medical advisor ad-visor to the patient. This trend is positive because individuals themselves should be the ones making decisions about health care treatments to be performed on them. The ultimate responsibility for one's health lies with the individual. The patient has the right to be informed. in-formed. The physician has the duty to inform the patient of risks, complications complica-tions and benefits of the proposed medical treatment. It is good common sense to have an Individual well informed in-formed being required to make an intelligent in-telligent choice regarding a treatment and giving Iheir Consent, So, we agrre, the patient has the right to be informed and the physician advisor has the duty to inform. Acceptance to the Ivy League school came as quite a surprise to the WWC graduate, since Cornell does not often admit transfer students. The 37-year-old Shepard stated that she "never dreamed that she would be accepted to such a prestigious chool." After being accepted, Shepard said that -she still had two big concerns; money and the transfer of credits. The money problem has partially been solved with the financial aid package from Cornell. And when it came to transferring her credits from WWC, all of her hours at WWC were accepted, ac-cepted, which will give her Junior class standing. At Cornell, Mrs. Shepard plans to study political science with emphasis on Soviet studies. After completing her Bachelors, she has her sights set on law school. She will be moving to lihica.
