On Saturday, Aug. 22, a driver hit a deer on S.R. 224 close to the McPolin Farm at 2:55 p.m. Nobody was injured and the vehicle's airbags were not triggered. Public police logs did not provide details about the deer. On Thursday, Aug. 20, meanwhile, a moose was seen in traffic on the 800 block of Park Avenue at 4:29 p.m. Deer and moose are plentiful in the Park City area. The Police Department regularly receives reports about them. Other incidents reported to the Police Department last week included: On Sunday, Aug. 23 at 6:03 p.m., the police received two calls about music in the vicinity of Rotary Park on the edge of Thaynes Canyon. The police said someone was throwing a birthday party for a young girl and did not have a permit to play amplified music. Someone reported losing a wallet along Lowell Avenue at 5:01 p.m. The police at 4:48 p.m. received a complaint from somewhere along Park Avenue about a person at a pool who was suspected to be intoxicated and was acting belligerently. Other people wanted the person removed, the police said. The Police Department classified the case as disorderly conduct. Thirty motorcycles were reported to be speeding on Guardsman Connection Road at 1:14 p.m. The person who contacted the police could no longer see the motorcycles while speaking to the police. There was no power in at least one condominium complex afterward, the police were told. Graffiti was found on a utility box on Sidewinder Drive at 3:43 p.m. The Police Department at 8:41 a.m. received a report that a camera was found installed in a location where it was focused on a bed. The report was logged on the 700 block of Main Street. The police initially indicated the circumstances were suspicious, but it was determined that the device controlled temperatures and was not a camera, the Police Department said. On Thursday, Aug. 20 at 11:59 p.m., the police received a report about a man drinking alcohol on Sidewinder Drive. The man appeared to be in his 50s, the police were told. He reportedly vandalized a restroom and refused to leave the premises, the police said. Someone might have lit a bonfire somewhere along Deer Valley Drive at 8:15 p.m. At 12:04 a.m., a man on a bicycle reportedly asked someone where he was while on Holiday Ranch Loop Road. The man "seemed very confused," the police were told. The Police Department classified the case as suspected intoxication. On Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 11:51 p.m., a party was reported in a backyard somewhere along Norfolk Avenue. The people were very loud, the police were told. The Police Department classified the case as disturbing the peace. A bus was seen idling for more than 10 minutes on Sidewinder Drive. The driver was informed of a City Hall law prohibiting idling. A suspected shoplifting case was reported on Iron Horse Drive at 2:52 p.m. Vehicles were seen parked on the sidewalk along Deer Valley Drive at 8:49 a.m. and 8:33 a.m. On Tuesday, Aug. 18, someone reportedly was flying a drone in Prospector at 9:06 p.m. The drone was seen in the vicinity of Doc Holliday Drive and Buffalo Bill Drive, the police were told. At 10:11 a.m., someone contacted the Police Department concerned about bicyclists speeding, not stopping at stop signs and passing vehicles on the right. The case was logged on Marsac Avenue.
