The museum plans an exhibit at the end of the year marking the anniversary of the resort. Below, Al Davis, a former ski instructor at the resort, points out other instructors pictured in a photograph from the 1970s as Julie D'Amore looks on. Continued From A-5 Elk herd spotted was apparently a water leak somewhere along Empire Avenue at 9:37 a.m. At 12:57 a.m., the police reported observing what was described as a "suspicious vehicle" on Prospector Avenue. The white two-door hatchback eluded an officer, the police said. It was driving slowly when the officer saw the vehicle at first, according to the police. On Saturday, April 27, a parking services representative contacted the police at 9:43 a.m. requesting that a 72-hour sticker be placed on a vehicle parked in the vicinity of the intersection of Swede Alley and Heber Avenue. A 72-hour sticker requires the owner move the vehicle in that time period. A suspected intoxication case was reported in the vicinity of Iron Horse Drive and Short Line Road at 1:34 a.m. On Friday, April 26 at 9:15 p.m., the police received a report from someone on Annie Oakley Drive that a fire had been lit in the nearby hills. The Police Department indicated it had contacted the parents, possibly of youngsters who could have been involved, and the fire was covered. At 12 14 p.m., the police were called to the 600 block of Park Avenue after receiving a report that a man was verbally abusing another man. The person who contacted the police was "very shaken up," according to police logs. The logs did not provide details about the case. On Wednesday, April 24 at 3:20 p.m., a bicyclist was spotted in the skate park at City Park. Bicyclists are prohibited from using the skate park. A driver hit an elk along S.R. 224 close to the intersection with Meadows Drive at 5:44 a.m. The animal survived. On Tuesday, April 23 at 10:54 p.m., a woman was reportedly spotted kicking garbage cans and acting erratically in the vicinity of the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Park Avenue. She was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, the police were told. Approximately six elk were seen just off the road somewhere along Holiday Ranch Loop Road at 9:08 p.m. They were gone when an officer arrived. A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported in a parking lot along Deer Valley Drive at 4:56 p.m. A municipal worker discovered what was described as a large knife outside an apartment complex along the 1800 block of Kearns Boulevard at 2:29 p.m. The knife was given to the police for storage. On Monday, April 22 at 8:40 p.m., an elk herd was seen along S.R. 224. Someone on Woodside Avenue contacted the police at 7:54 p.m. indicating that people across the street from her place repeatedly back their vehicles into her staircase. They had caused $500 in damage over time, the police were told.
