James D. Thorne had taken the boys to Salt Lake in his auto Monday, where they had all been fitted up in uniforms and been given a fine soldier like appearance. The band under the leadership leader-ship of Prof. Overlade was again out. Mayor Swenson, Capt. Bassott who will have charge of the troop in which tho boys enlisted and Private Stark gave talks. Capt. Bassott Bass-ott expressed gratitude for Pleasant Grove's loyalty and said if all the towns in Utah County had done as well as this one there would be no talk of drafting. J. D.
