In a recent report to Mayor Dana Williams and the City Council, Tillson says 123,947 people visited between the beginning of July 2006 and the end of June 2007, up about 7 percent from the previous 12month period. Checkouts also increased, but the number of sessions on library computers dropped, Tillson says. Brian Hart man n mans the checkout counter, scanning a barcode on a book. Park Record. PRICING YOUR HOME TO SELL i City considers ways to store water By JAY HAMBURGER Pricing your home takes experience. As the economy cycles changes and interest races rise and fall, the value of your home may increase or decline. No matter what phase the market is in, it is always importam to price your home competitively. The firsr stop is to contact a professional Realtor for a market analysis. The Realtor will look'at recent sales of comparable homes in your area. By comparing the size, location and condition of your home to the competition, your agent can help you determine what to ask for your home. Even in an active market, an inflated price may frighten prospective buyers away. A house that is over-priced can take additional weeks or months to sell, and the final sale price may even be lower than if the sellers had started out with a more accurate listing price. A realistic price is based upon market conditions, comparable sales, and our years of experience in the marketplace. Equal housing opportunity. I Each company independently owned and opemlm? Of the Record staff City Hall officials are contemplating ways to better store water, including an idea that involves building a pond in Round Valley, Park City Manager Tom Bakaly says. The city typically has enough water to serve customers, but Bakaly says officials want another place to store water so it is available when it is needed. If City Hall could store more water for the municipal system, it would be available when it is most in demand, such as in the summer and the early-winter snowmaking season, Bakaly says. He cautions that officials have not made decisions regarding ponds in Round Valley or other ways to store water. "It's going°to take a long time to pull together," he says, predicting dttisioris about a pond might not be made for two or three years. City Hall holds large tracts of land in Round Valley that are protected as open space. Ideas to build a pond in that area would likely be politically risky. Scores of Parkites enjoy the expansive acreage in Round Valley, hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing in the open space. Round Valley is among City Hall's prized open-space areas, and officials over years have pieced together a considerable swath of protected land. Round Valley sits on the edge of Park Meadows, and it is popular with people in that neighborhood and those who live elsewhere in the area. Bakaly says the local government would need to determine if restrictions on the land allow a manmade pond. He says the city would approach regular Parkites as well. "We'd have to do a dialog, a community dialog, to see where people are," he says about gaug•;mg the interest. "My Broker Promised My Money Was Safe* Now what do I do?" There IS something you can do.
