Since the release of the band's first album, "Taught to be Proud" in 2005, Tea Leaf Green has been touring North America, honing their strength as both songwriters and improvlsers. After winning the "Song of the Year" Jammy award for "Taught to be Proud's" title track, the road warriors plowed ahead and now sell out shows In major markets including Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New York and, most notably, the historic Fillmore Auditorium in their hometown of San Francisco, Calif. The band's chops have earned them the respect of their musical contemporaries, sharing the stage with such acts as Dave Matthews Band, Trey Anastasio, Gov't Mule, and Bruce Hornsby.
