At the event, the literary council announced some of the authors and presenters who will participate in the 2006 Park City Literary Festival. This year's event will run Sept. 25 - Oct 1, and will feature, among other things, activites for children, author presentations, book signihgs, private author dinners, panel discussions and "book to movie" screenings. The group, she said, will travel to Park City from Los Angeles for the fundraiser. Among the silent auction items are fly fishing and golfing outings. Tickets to the event are $60. The Soaring Wings Education Foundation is a group of parents, teachers and students from the Soaring Wings Montessori School dedicated to raising money and organizing enrichment programs. The education foundation plans to use the money to help pay for scholarship programs for youth, continuing education for Soaring Wings Montessori School teachers and contributions to the Children's Planet Fund, a collection charitable organizations chosen by the students at Soaring Wings Montessori School. Sears said the "'Beach Party." should include more than just the schools' parents and teachers though. Rather, the event should draw a wide-ranging crowd. "Anybody who's interested in helping out with education in Park City," she said, "also, anybody who would like the beach.'1 That should have at least a few people headed to the Kimball this Saturday.
