"They engaged the suspects and it turned into a high-speed chase that came up Parleys Canyon," Summit County sheriff's Chief Deputy Dave Booth said. "[Bridge] ended up apprehending one of the suspects." The incident reportedly created a spectacle for motorists as police combed a hillside near Mountain Dell Reservoir after the men left their vehicle on foot. "We're pretty proud of it ... we were majorly involved," Booth said about the arrests. A Francis man told a dispatcher a woman slapped him several times in the face during a domestic dispute on Nov. 24 at 9:05 a.m. Children operating motorized scooters were causing problems for motorists on Station Loop Road in western Summit County on Nov. 24 at 10:04 a.m. A man in Bear Hollow Village claimed his brother-in-law punched him and left the home on Nov, 24 at 11:18 a.m. A Summit Park man reported a case of fraud to the Sheriff's Office on Nov. 25 after someone allegedly wrote $5,000 worth of fraudulent checks on his account.
