They really want to learn," Brown said. Many campers don't stop with ihe camp. They continue to work on their skills and start competing as members of the Junior Golf Association and later the Utah Golf Association. Others come back as teenagers to work at the course. The course also offers a junior league on Monday mornings where youlh mul 1 heir families can set up tecs luncs and enjoy the course ;is a family. "They [adu!ls| all respect that it has changed from the past and understand how important it is for kids to learn the panic," Brown said. Similar camps are run ai public golf courses all over the state. but Brown thinks that Park City's is one of the best. The city willingly gives up half of its course for three weeks and all five members of the golf pro staff lake on a different responsibility in making sure the camp runs smoothly. Brown attributes a lot of the programs success to the participation of her fellow pros. "'I think we are a good team. I have a good base. Overall we care a whole lot. We put a lot aside to do this," Brown said. "All the pros lake an interest or they wouldn't be there." The camp runs for three consecutive weeks and Brown says, as it stands, there are only two spots still open in the final week of camp. Already, Brown feels like this year is running well. "I have been pleased. There' s lots of improvement, lots of good swings and the kids are having fun. so I know it's a success," Brown said. 6» Lots More Outdoor Dining Available Bring In this ad and receive a free soda 9 baklava desert with every Lunch or Dinner entree Expires 6/30/05 Monday - Saturday 1 1AM -10 PM Sunday 3PM - 9PM VISIT US TODAY AT: MIVW.PARKKKCOKD.COM 6300 North Sagewood Dr 658-2267 (West of Smith's at Kim ball Junction) WELLS FARGO The Next Stage" you a appy Get the ultimate banking package with all the rewards, benefits and discounts you deserve. w^k^+vTO-v v?x •*•.••• ^ • • * • TOVA'v V '• V'« ' V"-.
