How should the average golfer feel about his (or her) game? Most golfers find themselves in one of two different categories: golfers who have no expectations and play well or golfers who have trouble playing to the ability they finished the previous season and don't know why. As the weather warms up and the new season starts, we should all GOT BALLS! find out which category you fall into. In learning more about how your golf brain operates, you will fully enjoy the early season golf experience. The golfer who does not overanalyze the beginning of the golf season will initially have more success and enjoy their early rounds.Too many golfers fall into the second category and experience early season frustration. Golf is a GAME. A realistic attitude towards performance when the season is young will help in all areas of the game. If you are nervous on the tee, do not use the driver. On the fairway, take one more club with an easy smooth swing. When playing from off the green, pick a 10-foot circle around the hole for the ball to end up in. On (he putting green, only worry about the distance the ball needs to travel. These tips will help golfers achieve more success during the start of the golf season. Remember, make the game easier for yourself prior to hitting a shot. Practicing in areas you feel your game needs work will only accelerate feeling comfortable on the course. The average golfer will need five to 15 rounds before confidence reaches a level to facilitate improvement. City State qualifiers. The group of Brent Ryberg, Eric Danitz, Brad Gehrig and Jared Purcell combined for what came down to a true photo finish. Park City will also be watching to see if Gehrig can finally break the school record in the mile. Last weekend at the BYU Invitational, he broke the record in the two-mile, and Wyant thinks the mile is well within Gehrigs reach. "I really hope he'll break the record. I really think he'll do it," said Wyant. "He trained really well and he's getting close. He's starting to get attention from colleges and that's boosting his confidence. The state meet is also a good chance for the other team members to show off their talents and skill, as a number of college recruiters and coaches will be in attendance at the statewide meet. As an overall team, Wyant hopes to see the girls' team place in the top three and the boys' team to have strong individual performances. The Miners' girls will have Ogden and Judge in their path as they try and take the state championship trophy away from Judge, who won it all last year. Park City lacks enough depth on the boys' side to contend for the title. "You need high-level performers in all events to take State," explained Wyant. Park City will try to turn in their best high-level performances this weekend in the 3A State Track and Field Championship at BYU on Friday and Saturday- 801.347.4645 www.BilliardGuy.com GATEWAY OFFICES ADVANTAGE #16 COULD YOU USE A LITTLE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT?
