Show Golden Years bazaar set The highlight of the year at the Golden Years Center is the bazaar being held this year on Saturday, Nov. 3. Everyone is invited to do their Christmas shopping early. There will be bargains galore. Participants are being asked to donate white elephants, as well as homemade items for sale. The proceeds pro-ceeds from this special table will go to the center to be used for various projects. The bazaar will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The AARP 55 Alive driving class will be held Nov. 6 and 7. Call the center at 295-3479 for reservations to join the group. Bob Wardle will be the instructor again. Cora will lead the sing-a-long on Thursday, Nov. 9. Singing keeps one young and Cora has a special way to make everyone want to sing. The group starts singing right after r . .. - lunch. The University of Utah is offering offer-ing another free class. This time on the "Geographic of Utah Parks' starting at 10 a.m. Al Fisher will be the instructor. It is planned for Thursday, Nov.9. Keep the dates of Dec. 4 and Jan. 8 open for another trip to Wen-dover. Wen-dover. The cost this time will only be $10 with $10 in cash and $5 food ticket offered upon arrival at Nevada Crossing. The lunch entrees for Nov.5 to 9 are: Monday, Nov. 5, Sweet and sour pork; Tuesday, Nov. 6, Green pepper patty; Wednesday, Nov. 7, seafood pie; Thursday, Nov. 8, Corned beef; and Friday, Nov. 9, Turkey terrazini. Be sure and call the center for the van to pick you up if you have no way of getting there. The van will take you grocery shopping on Friday afternoon. |
