Class ra,H. - Advanced registration has been completely revised for winter quarter in the hope that students' requests can be fulfilled more efficiently-and easily. Nearly 16,000 students advance registered and their confirmed schedules are now ready. Schedules may be picked up from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday in the Union Auditorium and Friday in Union 100 (at the far west end of the building by the cafeteria). Completed schedules will be mailed to students who are unable to pick them up on these days. Students may be shocked and amazed when they read their class assignments. This quarter, no random scheduling was done. This means that if you signed up for English 101 at 8:50 a.m. you were either assigned to that class at that available for all unfilled da sections. On Dec. Z students should check back in th Commons to pick up add cards their request was filled. If all ad cards are not claimed, the resei vation cards will be turned over t the individual departments for in person registration. Other scheduling hassles will b' resolved at in-person registration Jan. 2. Change cards am registration packets will b distributed in the Union Wes Ballroom instead of in Miltoi Bennion Hall. The change wa: made to keep students out of thi winter weather as much a: possible. Add and drop cards wil again be distributed in Orsor Spencer Hall beginning at 7:30 a.m Report cards will be available ai the service windows of the Registrar's Office on Dec. 28 anc 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Report cards will also be distributed in the Union Auditorium on the day of in-person in-person registration. All these changes are being used on an experimental basis this quarter. They will be evaluated and improved to offer students maximum convenience and satisfaction in class scheduling at the University in the future. |
