Aired were aal personal and general plaints concerning wages, is, procedures, and attitudes 'to University campus, steral persons employed in j areas as transportation and services recalled actions they wwere in the process of taking 3st supervisors, the Personnel ;t, etc. These actions varices) were either regarded, ignored, or used stthe employes concerned to '! them with their jobs, L'e their pay, or just ignore workers. One item brought up in the meeting was the "short-changing" of the union on the Policies and Procedures manual. As stated in the agenda, "In a meeting on March 29, I972, of the Union's Steering Committee with the University Personnel Department, it was agreed that the Personnel Department would disseminate copies of the Policies and Procedures to the employees. This has not happened yet, and the single copy our Union did receive was incomplete. Sections dealing with salaries and hourly compensation com-pensation were mysteriously missing!" The members present at the meeting agreed to form committees com-mittees to organize further the union and to hash out grievances in a more concise manner. |
