Show breakfast programs have been introduced, the attendance improved, the children's attention span was increased and the learning performance was improved. I hope the Board of Education will acknowledge these data and accept the funds to introduce this worthwhile program. William N. Camp Ham & eggs Editor: I am writing in support of COOP'S CO-OP'S recommendation that the Salt Lake City Board of Education accept the money from Model Cities and the Federal Government Govern-ment to initiate breakfast programs at the following Title I elementary schools: Riverside, Jackson and Sumner at Central City. Most of the people of Salt Lake City are committed to the moral principle that children should have an equal opportunity to receive an education. If some children go to school hungry, then they do not have the same educational opportunity as those children who are not hungry. There is documentation which indicates that in schools in which |
