Not a glee club or a barbershop barber-shop group, the chorus maintains its reputation of performing fine music. Composed of 30 members selected se-lected by audition, the chorus has been under the direction of J. Marlowe Nielson since Giles' retirement re-tirement in 1948. Besides its scheduled three annual concerts on campus and the annual week-long week-long tour, the group is in great demand for many other special civic occasions. They have distinguished themselves by having hav-ing sung for every President except ex-cept Lyndon Johnson during their existence. |
