She has also taught at Benning ton College, New York University, Adelphi University, Uni-versity, Juilliard and the New School Research. Guest dancer to lecture; will preview RDT work Miss Winter is now setting a new work entitled "Age of Innocence" In-nocence" for RDT. A preview of that work will be given during her Thursday performance. Showtime is 8 p.m. Admission is free for members of DANCE, RDT's new community organization organiza-tion and 50 cents for students, others $1. Ethel Winter, noted dancer, guest teacher and choregrapher will present a special lecture demonstration and performance Thursday in the Union East Ballroom. Ball-room. Miss Winter is the guest teacher in residence at the University with the Repertory Dance Theater. This is her second period of residence resi-dence at the University. Last year she spent three weeks working with RDT and the Department of Modern Dance. She has also taught at Bennington Benning-ton College, New York University, Adelphi University, the Neighborhood Neighbor-hood Playhouse, Juilliard School of Music and Dance, the New School for Social Research and the Long Beach State College. Miss Winter has been a soloist or many years with the Martha Graham Dance Company, and toured the U.S., Europe and Asia with that group. She has had the honor of being the first dancer to Perform many of Miss Graham's roles. She has. her own dance company, which, has toured the East and Middle West college circuit. cir-cuit. She has often been a soloist Wth the Sophie Maslow Company wmch has completed many seasons sea-sons with the New York City Pera, and one Broadway show 'r Perience, called "Ankles Aweigh." |
