Show Papooses drop Mesa College for win no. 2 by quarterback Steve Marshall. The touchdown capped a 70 yard drive with 11 minutes remaining in the contest. Setting up insurance points, Steve Odan broke into the clear with less than two minutes remaining re-maining and sprinted- 45 yards to the one-yard line. The touchdown was pushed over and so the game ended leaving the Papooses 2-0 for the year. Jack Andrews feels that "his team's positive attitude is their greatest asset, they just won't accept defeat." Utah's Papooses added another victory to their unbeaten record by charging through a pesky Mesa College team by the score of 24-14 last Friday in Ute stadium. Combining a tight defense with fcir already touted offense the Papooses held Mesa scoreless in l first half while adding 10 Points to their own side of the scoreboard. However, the second naif proved to be the drawing card a both teams rallied for two touchdowns.
