Show I New, approved parking system begins fall quarter 5 A new parking system approved J by the Faculty Council, Staff representatives rep-resentatives and ASUU, will go J into effect fall quarter. The new J system is the result of a three 4 month study by Campus Planning j and Traffic Committee and ctm- J denses parking categories from 12 to three. j "A" permits Will be available J to faculty and full-time, salaried tl staff at a cost of $15 per year. ;T These permits Will be valid in "T1 "A" and "B" designated areas. B No "second car" permits Will be K available. jj Students and also faculty and I) staff who do not want an "A" P Permit can pay $7.50 for a "B" M Permit. Continuing Education stu- , y tents will be able to get a "B" C permit for $2.50 which can be JJ H "sed from 3:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. 11 Reserved parking ("R" P61-' bd.C tilts) will be available to faculty C and staff at $200 per year. They Jfj "ill have exclusive rights to a parking spot in the vicinity of their choice. These permits will also be good in "A" and '"B" areas. Additional stickers . for those owning more than one car will only be available in the "B" category cate-gory In the past, although there were only 1400 qualified faculty, 1800 individuals obtained 2900 faculty fac-ulty stickers. Parking meters will be installed near Pioneer Memorial Theater, Marriott Library, east of OSH Union, south of College of Business, Busi-ness, north of Merrill Engineering Engineer-ing Bldg., and north of the Annex. Added to those already on t h e Circle this will total 491 meters. Rates' will be 10 cents for 36 minutes min-utes and 10 cents per hour on less convenient meters. Temporary 25 cent permits, good for one day, will be available avail-able for those who occasionally dPive a car on campus Which does not have a sticker. These will also be issued to visitors and guests. |
