Show ' Antiwar march Saturday, noon Linking the' Indochinese War with racism, both in America and in Indochina, and particularly racism rac-ism in the Salt Lake City public schools, four local groups will stage a rally at the Community Action Program (CAP) Center (615 South 3rd East) to be followed by ' a march to the Board of Education Educa-tion Bldg. to present grievances this Saturday, August 1, at noon. The four groups Black Brothers Broth-ers Organization Society (BBOS), Students for a Democratic Society (SDS1, Mexican-American Youth Organization (MAYO), and the United Front to End the War (UFEW) will dramatize their demands de-mands for the firings of "racist Teacher Maher and racist Principal Princi-pal Kerr" from West High School; the hiring of more black and Chi-cano Chi-cano teachers in Salt Lake City. schools; force police off high school campuses; end tuition for public high school students in whatever guise; and an immediate immedi-ate U. S. withdrawal from Indochina, Indo-china, which will come, according to demonstrators, through fighting racism here and in the Third World. Sponsors urge concerned students stu-dents and members of the local community to attend. |
