Show Top tennis teams will compete in Salt Lake one of the top tennis schools in the country, will be sending its three top players-Zan Guerry, Mike Estep and T.co Carrero. Guerry is- ranked in the top ten players of the nation also. Utah's tough tennis team will offer the many stars tough competition. com-petition. F.D. Robbins, Dave Harmon and Dan Bleckinger all promise to give opponents tough matches in the big tournament. Tickets for the Freed Invitational Invita-tional may be purchased at the Arena Ticket office and at the Salt Lake Swimming and Tennis Club. . The top college teams in the country will be competing in the David L. Freed tennis tournament Thursday through Saturday at the Salt Lake City Swimming and Tennis Club. Davis Cuppers, international professional stars and the United States seventh and ninth ranked players will be participating in the big tournament. Miami's Tom Edlefsen and Utah's Jim Osborne, the nation's seventh and ninth ranked players will most likely be the top seeded players in the tournament. Osborne was an ail-American for Utah and is currently assistant tennis coach. He has posted wins over such players as Arthur Ashe. Edlefsen, who beat Osborne in the 1966 David Freed tournament, tourna-ment, will be making his second visit to Salt Lake City. The number of entries and the quality of those same entrees is the best and biggest that the tournament tour-nament has seen in its five years of existence. The meet will be held Thursday through Sunday and the final matches will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The singles competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday Thurs-day and 5 p.m. on Fridays. The tournament should be a prelude to the NCAA tennis championships which will be held on the Utah campus this spring.
