Show Monthly walk shows many improvements graphsical library and ROTC buildings. President Fletcher commented that the mounds of dirt over the sidewalk should be cleaned up immediately. Structural and multi-level parking park-ing was a possibility considered by University President James C. Pletcher and Vice President Brig-ham Brig-ham D. Madsen in their monthly walk of the University campus. A charge of $50 to $70 a year is the parking privilege charge being considered. President Fletcher and Vice President Madsen viewed the 3,000 parking spaces at the Special Spe-cial Events Center that are located lo-cated within 1,000 feet of the Center the two permanent concession con-cession booths and the three portable concession booths inside the Center. They announced that bids for an additional 250 lights to be placed around campus, similar simi-lar to those in the Center parking lot, would be opened this week. Dr. Madsen also explained other areas in which the lighting is being be-ing improved. The Annex parking lot lights are in the process of being completed. Tliree days ago the Wasatch parking lot, north of the Annex, was completely lit. Last week the University opened bids on the placement of 250 light posts and lights throughout the campus. All of the bids have not as yet been received said Dr. Madsen. After the bid is awarded the project will take approximately approximate-ly six months to be completed. Vice President Madsen announced an-nounced that the road towards the Medical Center will be made into two lanes going in each direction and will be completed by next year. Plans to put permanent walks where there are now grass beaten paths was considered by the President Pres-ident and Vice President. They gave favorable comments on the parking area by the Geo- |
