Show Meeting set for Reynolds critique A three-man panel will critique the 33rd annual Reynolds Lecture in OSH auditorium Monday at 8 p.m. Dr. B. Gale Uuk Jr., prolessor of physics, presented the lecture, "The Ivory Ghetto," last Monday under sponsorship of the Frederick William Reynolds Association and the Division of Continuing Education. Panelists Monday will include Dr. Charles II. Monson Jr., professor of philosophy and University deputy academic vice president; Dr. David W. Bennett, associate professor of philosophy; and Dr. Kenneth E. Eble, chairman of the Department of English. Dr. Waldemer P. Read, professor emeritus of philosophy, i will be chairman. The lecture centered on the communication gap between science and the humanities and called for more and better teaching of mathematics before and during college among non-math majors. The lecture honors the memory of Prof. Reynolds who was the first director of the Extension Division, now the Division of Continuing Education. i |
